Charles 1st Execution.

A 54mm project with figures depicting the scene outside the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London on January 30th 1649.
This was the execution of Charles 1st.

Made a little dio with a wooden scaffold made from balsa and ice lolly sticks. Backdrop is a picture I found on the internet. Figures are Call to arms Pikeman, Charles, executioner and bishop by Replicants and the Ironside is one I bought from an odds and ends box at a fair, unknown make.

  1. Superb paint job Mike, you'd think the figures were all from the same manufacturer and same set.

  2. Thanks, I got the figures at various fairs over the course of a few years. I just needed one guy, the chap reading the charges, to complete the project. He was the only figure in metal bought out of an odds and end box for a pound.
