Charles 1st Execution.

A 54mm project with figures depicting the scene outside the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London on January 30th 1649.
This was the execution of Charles 1st.

Made a little dio with a wooden scaffold made from balsa and ice lolly sticks. Backdrop is a picture I found on the internet. Figures are Call to arms Pikeman, Charles, executioner and bishop by Replicants and the Ironside is one I bought from an odds and ends box at a fair, unknown make.

Cuban Revolution

A set of ten figures in 54mm from russian manufacturer Engineer Basevich. Nice sculpts as usual, only a couple of things, first the figure with grenade in hand and thomson on his back has no visible sling, so I added one using a bit of milliput. Secondly I'm not keen on the two figures without bases, kinda odd one's out so I added them to each of the kneeling figures.

The Cuban Revolution was an armed revolt conducted by Fidel Castro's 26th of July Movement and its allies against the right-wing authoritarian government of Cuban President Fulgencio Batista.
